In plain English: your home information belongs to you, and we built My Home Booklet so it stays that way.

Uploading documents is optional

The app works without any documents. If you choose to add warranty booklets, manuals, or photos, they're kept in one place, give you dated proof for warranty claims, and are easy to find when you sell. Never upload anything with a Social Security or bank account number. You don't need closing or loan papers for anything in the app.

Your files are private

• Files are stored in a private area of our server that the web can't reach. They can't be opened by a link, even if someone guessed it.
• A file is only shown to you, after you've signed in to your own account.
• Olivia Pelton never sees your documents or photos.
• Each booklet includes 500 MB of storage for photos and files, about 1,000 photos. You can see how much you've used on your Account page.

Two steps to sign in

• You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. There's no password to guess, reuse, or leak.
• Each link works once and expires in 15 minutes.
• On a new phone or computer, you also enter your own 6-digit security code. Even someone who got into your email couldn't open your booklet without it. After 5 wrong tries the account locks for 30 minutes and we email you.
• Your code is stored scrambled (hashed), so not even we can see it. If you forget it, we reset it only after confirming it's you, never just by email.
• We email you whenever your account is signed in on a new device, and you can sign out of every device from your Account page.

We don't sell or share your information

• Nothing you enter is sold, rented, or shared with anyone.
• We only email you about your home: sign-in links, security alerts, and reminders from Olivia Pelton. You can turn reminders off anytime.
• Builders and warranty companies only see what you choose to send them.

You're in control

• Edit or remove anything at any time.
• Delete your account from the Account page, and your account, home details, and every file are permanently erased.

How it's protected

• Every connection is encrypted (HTTPS).
• The app runs on its own, separate from our public website, with a firewall and traffic filtering in front of it.
• Backups are stored in a separate, secured location and kept for a limited time.
